Tekonsha Upgraded Modulite Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit Installation - 2019 Audi Q5- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Audi Q5, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha upgraded vehicle wiring harness with a 4-way flat trailer connector. So this Q5s are really capable SUVs and people wanna use them. They wanna tow their trailers, go on adventures and whatever the case may be. And so if that's what you plan on doing, you're gonna need a way to power up those lights on your trailer. And with this setup, what's really nice is the fact that our wiring's gonna be stored inside of the Audi whenever we're not using it. more

Hi there Audi owners today in your 2017 Audi Q7, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha ZCI four-pole flat connector trailer wiring system. We're going to look at some of the features first, so stick around towards the end, and then we're going to do the installation with you. And this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. You almost can't even tell that it's there because it's going to be completely hidden on your Q7. When you open up the lift gate, there's an access panel located on the inside right here. And if we open that up, our wiring is located inside. more

As you can see here on our 2014 Audi Q7, we've got the smaller Tekonsha module installed and we're able to take our wiring and tuck it all up into the little compartment behind our tail light.Whereas if we we're using our Curt, the Curt itself would take up just about all the space inside of our compartment here, leaving no place for our wiring which would require us to have to route it into another location and store it somewhere else, making a lot more work for us.I will say, however, the Curt does have a higher output at five amps on the stop-turn circuit while our Tekonsha only has 4.2 amps on the stop-turn.They both offer 7.5 amps on the tail lights, so if you need that higher output for your stop and turn circuits on your trailer, if you've got a lot of lights, big light bars through your tail light assemblies, then the Curt may be the better option for you.Other than that, our harnesses are basically identical. They're going to have the same outputs to make the connections to your vehicle. You're going to get length of wire to run it to your battery. You'll have your fuse protection and they're both going to come with quick splices, zip ties, and sticky pads to get everything mounted up.Regardless of which module you choose, you will have to quick splice your wiring into your existing wiring on your vehicle. more

They both offer 7.5 amps on the taillights, so if you need that higher output for your stop and turn circuits on your trailer, if you've got a lot of lights, big light parts for your taillight assemblies, then the Curt may be the better option for you.Other than that, our harnesses are basically identically. They're gonna have the same outputs to make the connections to your vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Audi A4- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Audi A4 we're going to be installing Tekonsha's ZCI four pole flat wiring system, part number 119250KIT.This four pole wiring system is going to give you all the necessary signals you need for your trailer. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, so it will be DOT compliant in all states. What really sets this system apart from other systems is that it's a no contact, non-intrusive system. The ZCI system uses inductive clamps that go around your wires and don't actually pierce or tap into any of them. It just measures a current inductively, providing that signals through the control box back to our connector. Additionally, our control box has its own fuse mounted circuit, so it's going to be self-protected and separate completely from your vehicle wiring.When you're ready to use your wiring, you can just hang it out over the back. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2008 Audi Q7, we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the curb power taillight converter with four pull flat trailer connector. Part number C59236.It is gonna come with a nice dust cap to help protect any of your connections from any dirt and debris. This is gonna give you all your proper lighting functions to safely tow your trailer. It's gonna give you a right turn signal, left turn signal, brake lights, running lights, and your ground.When in use, again, just hang it out. When not in use, you simply roll it up, and store it inside the panel. When you're ready to use it, you pull it out of your storage compartment, run it over the rubber seal, stay away from any latching points.Now that we've gone over some of the features, let me show you how to get it installed.You look right up here in this corner, all of your wires from your taillights run down on both sides. more

Part number 119250KIT.Here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. It's going to give us a four pole flat trailer connector, which is going to give us our tail lights, turn signals, and brake lights to get our trailer down the road safely. It is going to live on the inside of the car, until we're ready to tow. It's actually going to stay inside this compartment, right here on the back half of our hatch. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Audi A4- Video
Today on our 2001 Audi A4, we will be installing the Current Power Tail Light Converter with 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number C59236. We are ready to hook up to our trailer. We have our wiring pulled out from our storage compartment on the drivers side. We can even close our storage compartment back up, so that is nice. We will sit it down here, to the side of our trunk latch and we will close our trunk down over it. You can see we have plenty of length to hook up to our trailer. more
